aged care-03

Aged Care/Retirement Living

The aged care and retirement living sector has undergone considerable change recently to adopt a people focused approach, creating sensitive and enjoyable building and landscape environments with high end technology solutions that have considerable implications on operations and the physical construct of the building typology. In a changing landscape our team has adapted our delivery model to enable our clients to aspire to be at the forefront of a new ‘service delivery’ world. We expect there is more to come as the aged care and retirement industry strives to provide a service that implements a sense of ‘home life’ with assisted care for population who seeks to age gracefully.

Our experience includes most recently working alongside a high care aged care and assisted retirement living provider to reposition and repurpose their existing sites and ageing building stock. Much of the $500M asset portfolio has undergone entire site upgrades and asset maximisation through the re-purposing of buildings and landscape, support services and commercial opportunities with multiple and simultaneous staged works.

OFFICES workplace 2-03

The Workplace sector is highly transitional due to the implications of market stimulus, economic fluctuation and implications of churn. Whether a client is repositioning an asset, down or upsizing, relocating, reconfiguring or the like; the core principles for successful project delivery remain the same – understand the clients’ ethos, the value it places on its people, its business approach and its future market position.

Working across the public and private sector, our team have successfully delivered and repositioned workplaces and base building assets for equity funds, government organisations, commercial rollouts and stand-alone clients.

PUBLIC BLDGS education-03

Public Buildings

Public buildings require a logic and strategic direction to ensure that delivery processes attend to public scrutiny, valued inputs and political agendas. The common thread of each development, from the very initial idea, pertains to the interests and benefit of the community, transparency of use of public/private funds through to the successful public ceremony and enjoyable use of the place, space and facility.

Our experience with the public arena for buildings is diverse; ranging from places orchestrated for education and public workplaces, gathering spaces that facilitate entertainment, sport, cultural, spiritual and contemplative activities, facilities that are focused on supporting the arts in the way of  civic buildings, cultural centres, art galleries, community halls, theatres and the like, all with interconnecting transport links and quality external public landscape spaces.

To maintain its throughflow retail is an ever-adapting environment that needs to bring surprise, delight and pleasure in such a way that spend and leasing prove sustainable for all. Our team are well versed to adapt to the constant change in the retail market. Understanding demographics, market trends, leasing requirements and the clients’ commercial parameters are essential to staying ahead of the curve.

Our experience extends from delivering new build neighbourhood centres, shopping centre expansions, retail expansions, reconfigurations and fitouts within operational environments. We are also well attuned to retail strategy planning and developing business cases for the high street whether that be in a neighbourhood, a central shopping centre, aviation precincts, warehouse communities and storage for on-line shopping distribution.

The Aviation sector relies on an intricate understanding of sterile, airside and landside operational environments and the associated mass transit movements of people, luggage and goods and the services arising from a vast interconnected mix of business groups that work alongside each other 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. An airport or aviation project has to comprehend a complex mix of key stakeholder vested interests, some with Government overlays, for the protection of borders, aviation safety and passenger experience. Our team has considerable experience and knowledge when operating across these jurisdictions and implementing strategies for staging live environment and operational works. Delivering terminal projects, landside infrastructure, airside infrastructure, ICT and the like, our team have worked across all facets of airport for Domestic and International travel.

To successfully deliver on our client expectations across varied objectives of each development sector, our Project Managers at STAR PMCA apply our project management output flow as explained in our Services.

Creating Ideas

We cross-reference output with our clients’ values identified by understanding the big picture; further maintaining alignment of vision through the delivery process.

Realising The Puzzle

Taking our clients vision into a built reality requires our STAR PM’s to unjumble many pieces of development, design and construction information. Often the information is conflicting at the outset and piece by piece we realise the puzzle through a calm and systematic set out timely activities. We convert this realised understanding of the puzzle into a successful project management delivery.

Enabling Sustainable Solutions

Sustainable solutions can on-board a magnitude of considerations, ranging from project outlay costs and return on investment ratios to operating costs, environmental management and energy efficiencies. Such considerations can vary particular to the asset end use; for example, solutions associated with workplace functions and liveable spaces can differ.

The agenda of sustainability can be led from numerous perspectives; arising from the most effective and appropriate use of the site, the corresponding design, construction methodology and operational use benchmarked for your business with legislation or industry best practice. It’s our approach to the rigorous testing of sustainable solutions that provides the value for money acceptance upon the outcomes of your development.
